Latif International LTD, a market leader in fine arts, antiques and rare textile is looking for a Purchasing Director to predict, determine, and advise on future market requirements and trends, to identify the sources of new products Advising and sourcing rare and antique objects including Islamic objects, supervise the clients design and production of products related to the carpets and rugs (Modern and Oriental Design particular Persian handmade) to ensure for quality or new incoming goods are in accordance with projects, quality and designs are proceeding with the order and completed. To negotiate prices, draw up a contract under company lawyer’s advice, buy and source handmade and machine made rugs and carpets, to attend trade exhibition and factories, maintain good relationship with the buyers as well as suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for new products. To arrange regularly the quality checks and new incoming goods to make sure the ordered goods will be delivered to the clients on time.

Interview and supervise the buyers and suppliers, to organize the trade exhibition and identifies new products.

Salary: £45,000

Must be able to understand the authenticity, age, value and condition of valuable objects, Persian and  Arabic antique, fine arts and manuscripts attending the auctions . Must have excellent knowledge about sourcing, bidding and attending public and private auction. To liaise with clients as well as overseas collectors, trade fairs and museums in order share the information about each contractual requirement.

To accomplish marketing and sales, human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures. Determine annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analysing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply and demand.

Latif International LTD, a market leader in fine arts is  looking for someone who should be able to use variety of materials and techniques to create art for sale and exhibition; must be able to create handmade objects that are designed to be functional; should know how to use fabric, yarn, or other natural and synthetic fibres to weave, knit, crochet yarn, or a sewing machine to join pieces of fabric for quilts or other handicrafts therefore should be able to use skilled techniques, such as knitting, weaving, painting and drawing.

• Develop creative ideas or new methods for making art
• Create sketches, templates, or models to guide their work
• Select which materials, often by shaping, joining or cutting
• Must be able to integrate jewelleries, crystals, sequins etc into textile
• Use visual elements, such as composition, color, space and perspective to produce desired artistic effects
• Develop portfolios highlighting their artistic styles and abilities to show to gallery owners and others interested in their work

​Your Role:
– Manage existing client accounts by increasing sales revenue

– You will be in charge of all sales material required, presentations and images

​Your Skills:

– 2 years sales experience in the fine arts industry both wholesale and retail (b2b &b2c)
– Extensive knowledge on Persian rugs, antique and fine rugs
